‘Nari Shakti Vandana Adhinayam “:

  • The Nari Shakti Vandana Act is a testament to India’s progressive vision for women leadership.
  • It reflects the government’s commitment to legislative action, recognizing and empowering the strength and potential of women.
  • The Institute for Research and Training in Democracy, Lok Sabha Secretariat, in collaboration with National Commission for Women and Ministry of Tribal Affairs, organized a programme titled ‘Panchayat se Parliament 2.0’.
  • The event was inaugurated by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in the presence of more than 500 tribal women representatives from Panchayati Raj Institutions from 22 States and Union Territories.

Proposal to integrate Spadex spacecraft deferred:

The Women’s Rights Project:

  • The Kalaignar Womens Rights Programme has led to economic upliftment of women.
  • The Tamil Nadu government is providing Rs 1,000 per month to 1.15 crore women.
  • This scheme has reduced the poverty of the beneficiary families.
  • At the same time, the status of women in the family has also improved with women getting their due rights and empowerment.
