LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana:

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch LIC’s Bima Sakhi scheme.
  • It has been reported that this scheme of LIC is a part of Prime Minister Modi’s vision of ‘Economically developed India through women’.
  • According to this scheme, 35,000 women will be selected as LIC agents in the first phase and 50,000 women in the next phase.
  • Women between the ages of 18 and 50,000, who have studied at least up to class 10, can apply.
  • Priority will be given to rural women.
  • Initially, the agent will be able to get not only the commission amount but also additional incentives for a few years.
  • Agents can earn a maximum monthly income of Rs 21,000.

Air Force Commanders’ Conference:

  • The two-day Air Force Commanders’ Conference for this year was held in Delhi on behalf of the Western Wing of the Indian Air Force.
  • This year’s conference emphasized the theme of ‘Indian Air Force – Strength, Efficiency, Self-Reliance’.
  • The Indian Air Force is maintaining its operational excellence to ensure a strong and ever-ready combat force, said Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh.

Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam:

  • The names of about 1.27 lakh beneficiaries have been removed from the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam.
  • The scheme was launched on September 15, 2023, on the birth anniversary of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Annadurai, by M. K. Stalin.
  • The scheme was planned and implemented to provide entitlement to one crore female heads of households.
  • Following the response to the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam in Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah launched the Gruha lakshmi scheme in Karnataka, which provides Rs. 2000 per month to female heads of households.
  • The Shivraj Singh Chouhan government in Madhya Pradesh has implemented a scheme to provide monthly assistance to women in 2023.

  • Since the adoption of the United Nations Convention against Corruption on 31 October 2003, International Anti-Corruption Day is observed annually on 9 December to create public awareness against corruption.
  • The theme of International Anti-Corruption Day 2024: “Unite with Youth against Corruption: Building the Integrity of Tomorrow” aims to engage youth in anti-corruption efforts.
