‘INS Tushil’ Commissioned into Indian Navy:
- The Russian-made missile ship ‘INS Tushil’ was inducted into the Indian Navy.
- Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Indian Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi attended the event held in Russia.
- Russia and India signed an agreement to build 4 warships in 2016.
- Accordingly, it was decided to build 2 warships in India and 2 warships in Russia.
- Based on this agreement signed for Rs 20,000 crore, the missile ship INS Tushil was currently built in Russia.
- This warship was inducted into the Indian Navy in the coastal city of Kaliningrad in that country.
- INS Tushil is 125 meters long. It weighs 3,900 tons.
- This warship has been built with modern technologies to improve the capabilities of the Indian Navy in the context of China’s increasing dominance in the Indian Ocean.
New Reserve Bank Governor Sanjay Malhotra:

Ayushman Vaya Vandana Scheme:
- The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has said that 22,000 senior citizens have benefited from the Ayushman Vaya Vandana Scheme for senior citizens.
- On October 29, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Ayushman Vaya Vandana Scheme as a part of the Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.
- The Ayushman Bharat Scheme allows senior citizens above the age of 70 to receive treatment worth Rs 5 lakh per year.
- The Ayushman Bharat Scheme was already available for families to share Rs 5 lakh for treatment.
- This has now been expanded to provide an additional Rs 5 lakh to each senior citizen in a family who has completed 70 years of age.
- Accordingly, identity cards are being issued to all senior citizens under this scheme.
